Climate change devastates livelihoods in Tanzania, increasing poverty and food shortages.
The study looked at how climate change affects people's ability to make a living in Ileje District, Tanzania. Researchers surveyed 308 households in four villages to see how climate change impacts their livelihood assets. They found that climate change reduces household incomes, land productivity, and access to water. This leads to food shortages, poverty, and fewer job opportunities. The study shows that the area is moderately vulnerable to climate change. Understanding these impacts can help policymakers make better decisions to help people adapt to climate change and protect their livelihoods.
