Mosaic Embryos Offer New Hope for Infertile Couples
Mosaic blastocysts can be as successful as euploid blastocysts in single frozen blastocyst transfers. A study compared 26 patients with mosaic blastocysts and 576 patients with euploid blastocysts. Both groups had similar pregnancy and implantation rates (65.4% vs 63.0%). The miscarriage rate was higher in the mosaic group (23.5% vs 14.0%), but this difference was not statistically significant. The study showed that transferring mosaic blastocysts can lead to successful pregnancies, providing an option for patients without euploid blastocysts.
