Supply chain partners in logistics services in South Africa need strong personal relationships to share risk information effectively. Buyers and suppliers rely on accountability, reliability, and approachability to ensure successful risk information sharing. Partners sometimes struggle to define the boundaries of personal relationships when sharing risk information. Common strategies to manage risk information sharing include using a code of conduct, a code of ethics, and a non-disclosure agreement. This study sheds light on the importance of personal relationships in supply chain risk information sharing in the South African logistics services context.
