Simulation Model Boosts Power Factor Accuracy for Electrical Engineering Students.
The article discusses the need for practical learning in electrical engineering studies, especially in power system concentration. Due to restrictions caused by the pandemic, students are unable to conduct lab experiments. The solution proposed is to create a simulation model using Matlab/Simulink for measuring power factor. The model accurately represents real lab equipment, showing that power factor decreases with inductive load and increases with capacitive compensation. This simulation model helps students apply and prove theoretical knowledge effectively.
