Methane hydrate is a solid crystal made of water and methane gas. The water forms a cage that traps the methane molecules inside. This study looked at the structure and properties of methane hydrate, as well as how it can be synthesized. Researchers also explored where methane hydrate is stable and how it can be found in seabed deposits. They even developed a method using submarine reflections to detect methane hydrate during marine earthquakes.
