They found that education mobility has increased over generations, but job mobility has not. Socially disadvantaged groups like Muslims are falling behind compared to Hindus. However, other disadvantaged groups like Scheduled Castes are seeing more education mobility. Overall, there is more progress in education than in job status across generations in India.
