Climate change and human activities worsen water quality in Yihe River.
The researchers studied the water quality in the Yihe river basin over different periods using various analysis methods. They found that pH, EC, COD, and NH4+-N were the most important indicators affecting water quality. The river basin was divided into upper, middle, and lower reaches based on water quality features. Human activities, climate change, and natural factors all played a role in the spatiotemporal variations of water quality.
