Goat farming in different regions of India was studied to see when female goats first go into heat. The researchers looked at goats in Jharkhand from 2014 to 2020. They found that the average age at first heat for goats in different villages ranged from 237 to 240 days. The goats in one village, Tiko, were the oldest when they first went into heat. The researchers also found that the village where the goats lived had a significant impact on when they reached this milestone.
