Aquatic plants in Lake Nasser are facing challenges due to temperature changes and the Ethiopian Renaissance Dam. These changes are causing disruptions in the underwater plant community, with only three species currently found in the lake. The types and amounts of these plants affect the fish population and variety in the lake. The warm water in Lake Nasser promotes plant growth, but some plants may pose risks. More research is needed to understand and manage the effects of climate change and the dam on the lake's plants for the benefit of its ecosystem.
