Boost maize yield and profits with potassium and bacteria combo!
The study looked at how different levels of potassium and potassium solubilizing bacteria affect the yield and economics of maize. The best treatment was found to be using 40 gm of K2O and 20 ml of KSB per kg of soil, along with 30 ml of KSB per kg of seed at 80 days after sowing. This treatment resulted in a grain yield of 5.78 tons per hectare, with gross returns of 1,28,100 INR per hectare, net returns of 84,406.47 INR per hectare, and a benefit-cost ratio of 1.93.
