Optimizing Phosphorus and Sulphur Boosts Mungbean Yield and Profitability!
The researchers studied how different amounts of phosphorus and sulfur affect the growth and yield of summer mungbean plants. They tested different levels of these nutrients in a field trial and found that using 60 kg/ha of phosphorus and 20 kg/ha of sulfur resulted in the tallest plants, the most nodules per plant, the highest plant dry weight, and the best seed and stover yields. This combination also led to the highest gross and net returns per hectare. Overall, adding phosphorus and sulfur in specific amounts can significantly improve the growth and yield of summer mungbean crops.
