Digital skills crucial for SME success, agile leadership falls short
Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) play a crucial role in a country's economy. A study looked at how digital skills, knowledge management, E readiness, and ICT utilization affect SME performance. The research involved 321 alumni who are small business owners in manufacturing, services, and retail sectors. The results showed that digital skills are the most important factor influencing SME performance, while agile leadership did not have a significant impact. This suggests that management involvement is lacking in empowering the digital ecosystem in business management. The findings highlight the need to focus on improving digital skills among SMEs to enhance their performance.
