Plastic Pollution Choking the Planet: New Model Reveals Urgent Need for Action
Plastic disposal processes create pollution in the air, soil, and water. A mathematical model was developed to study this pollution issue, with three equilibrium points identified. The model's stability was analyzed using mathematical theories, and it was found that plastic usage can lead to a backward bifurcation. Optimal control methods were applied to minimize pollution, and graphical analysis was conducted to visualize the results.
