Chickpea Yields Soar with Organic Fertilizer Combo, Boosting Food Security
The researchers wanted to see how different types of nutrients affected the growth and yield of chickpeas. They tested nine treatments on the chickpea plants, including different combinations of fertilizers, rhizobium culture, vermicompost, and farmyard manure. They found that using a mix of RDF, rhizobium culture, and 5.0 t/ha of vermicompost gave the best harvest index, while using RDF, rhizobium culture, 2.0 t/ha of vermicompost, and 5.0 t/ha of farmyard manure also had good results.
