Living mulch, specifically fenugreek, was studied to see how it affects sunflower growth. Different sowing times of fenugreek and three sunflower cultivars were tested. Results showed that planting fenugreek at the same time as sunflower led to the best sunflower yield. This method increased grain yield by 39% compared to not using living mulch. The Lakomka sunflower cultivar had the highest grain yield overall. Choosing the right cultivar and sowing date for the living mulch can improve sunflower yield.
