The study looked at why undergraduate hospitality students in Ghana choose careers in the hospitality industry. They surveyed 1,341 students from different universities and found that wanting to run their own business, being interested in hospitality, having the right personality, and being influenced by peers were the main reasons for choosing hospitality careers. The researchers suggest that universities should focus on practical and entrepreneurial courses to better prepare students for the industry.
