In a greenhouse study, different colored mulches and phosphorus levels were tested on cucumber plants. Transparent and black mulches led to the best plant growth and yield. Transparent mulch also increased nutrient content in leaves. Lower phosphorus levels were more efficient for plant growth, while higher levels decreased growth. The combination of transparent mulch and 60 ppm phosphorus gave the best results.
