Optimizing Plant Geometry Boosts Fenugreek Seed Yield and Quality.
A study looked at how different ways of planting fenugreek plants and different varieties of fenugreek affect seed yield. They tested 12 combinations of plant spacing and varieties. The results showed that planting the fenugreek plants 20 cm apart in rows gave the highest seed yield, straw yield, and overall plant yield. However, planting them 30 cm apart in rows resulted in more pods per plant, longer pods, and heavier seeds. Among the varieties tested, AFg-2 was the best in terms of pod number, pod length, seed weight, and overall yield. Overall, the study found that planting fenugreek plants closer together can increase yield, while certain varieties perform better than others.
