Discrepancies in Land-Use Planning Exposed in Indonesian Coastal Communities.
Understanding how land is used in coastal areas of Indonesia is important for managing the environment. They found that local people were aware of changes due to infrastructure development, but there were differences between planned land use and what was actually happening. This shows the value of using multiple sources of information to understand land-use changes.
