Revolutionary Water Management Model Saves Iran from Looming Crisis
The goal of the study was to develop a model for optimizing the use of water resources in Iran by transferring surplus water between basins. The researchers considered factors like water supply and demand, reducing water loss, and transferring water to neighboring basins. They used a genetic algorithm to solve the complex problem of water allocation. The results showed that implementing the optimal water management policy could effectively transfer a significant amount of water within and outside basins, preventing excessive water flow from rivers.
