Boost Wheat Yields and Nutrient Uptake with Key Nutrient Additions!
A study looked at how adding different nutrients to wheat plants affected their growth and nutrient uptake. They tested adding sulfur (S), magnesium (Mg), boron (B), and zinc (Zn) to the soil along with the usual nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium (NPK) fertilizers. They found that adding sulfur with NPK led to the highest grain and straw yield. Adding all the extra nutrients (S, Mg, B, Zn) also increased plant height, tillers, and grain weight. The plants absorbed more nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, and sulfur when sulfur was added, and more magnesium when magnesium was added. The highest zinc and boron uptake was seen when all the extra nutrients were added.
