Thematic analysis is a popular method used by researchers to analyze content from interviews, observations, and focus groups. However, there are several issues with the methodology that need to be addressed. By examining a case study and analyzing articles that used thematic analysis, seven major problems were identified. Recommendations have been made to improve thematic analysis and other qualitative research methods.
