The article analyzes how changes in the RMB's exchange rate affect export/import prices. Previous studies used overall exchange rate data, but this may not be accurate because different trading partners have different products. The study calculates a more specific exchange rate for each sector to see the true impact on prices. The results show that the exchange rate's effect on prices is different when using detailed data compared to general data.
