Hybrid radiant cooling system maximizes thermal comfort in extreme conditions.
A new cooling system called the hybrid radiant cooling (HRC) system was studied to see how well it can keep people comfortable in hot and humid climates. The HRC system combines features of regular air conditioning and chilled radiant cooling systems. It can adjust cooling levels and prevent condensation. The study found that the HRC system can maintain thermal comfort levels between 25-27°C, even in extreme conditions at 31°C. By using an Airbox convector, the HRC system can increase cooling output and reduce discomfort levels. This means that the HRC system is effective at keeping people comfortable without needing extra cooling sources.
