Revolutionizing wheat farming: Organic sources boost yield and profits significantly!
The study aimed to find the best combination of organic and inorganic nutrients for growing wheat. Researchers at a university farm in Kanpur found that using a specific mix of nutrients led to higher wheat yields. This combination included Azotobacter, vermicompost, and recommended doses of fertilizer. The wheat plants treated with this mix had more tillers, longer spikes, more grains per spike, and heavier seeds. Ultimately, this resulted in a significantly higher grain yield and net return compared to other treatments.
