Industrial policy plays a big role in shaping economies, but there's not much research on it. New studies are using better methods to learn more about how these policies work. By looking closely at the details and using tools to evaluate policies, we're finding out more than we knew before. This review suggests we need to take industrial policy more seriously and study it more carefully to understand its impact.
