The study analyzed trends, growth, and profitability of groundnut production in Surguja district of Chhattisgarh state. Small farms were found to be more profitable than medium and large farms. The area under groundnut cultivation decreased over 10 years, with negative growth rates in area and production. However, productivity showed positive growth rates in both the district and state. Overall, groundnut production in Surguja district is facing challenges, but productivity is increasing.
