Water quality prediction is crucial for water diversion projects in China. A new method was developed to quickly predict water pollution in the East Route of the South-to-North Water Diversion Project. By simulating different pollution accidents, a model called WQRP was created. The model accurately predicted water quality in four test cases, showing its effectiveness in ensuring water transport safety for long-distance projects.
