A study was done to test different cherry tomato hybrids for their yield and quality in India. The researchers grew the hybrids in shade net conditions and found that the hybrid LE 1223 x Pusa Cherry Tomato 1 produced the most fruit per plant. They also discovered that Pant Cherry Tomato 1 x LE 1223 had the firmest fruit, while Pusa Cherry Tomato 1 x LE 1223 had the thickest skin. Some hybrids, like Pusa Cherry Tomato 1 x LE 87, had a longer shelf life. In terms of taste, hybrids like LE 1223 x LE 87 had the highest sugar content, and IIHR 2753 x VGT 89 had the most lycopene.
