Optimal Sulphur and Calcium Levels Boost Groundnut Yield and Economic Viability
A study looked at how adding different amounts of sulphur and calcium to groundnut plants affects their growth and yield. They tested three levels of sulphur and three levels of calcium. The results showed that the plants treated with 45kg/ha of sulphur and 60kg/ha of calcium grew taller, produced more pods and kernels per plant, and had higher seed yield compared to other treatments. This combination also resulted in higher harvest index, indicating better overall productivity. In conclusion, using 45kg/ha of sulphur and 60kg/ha of calcium can lead to increased groundnut yield and be cost-effective.
