Zooplankton abundance in Phang Rad River reveals key conservation insights.
Zooplankton in Phang Rad River were studied at five different spots from May 2018 to April 2019. A total of 53 types of zooplankton were found, with the most common being Arthropoda. Calanoid copepods were the most dominant group. The highest zooplankton abundance was in May, followed by June, December, and November. Station 1 had the most zooplankton, while Station 4 had the least. This study helps us understand the abundance and distribution of zooplankton in the river, which can guide future conservation efforts.
