The researchers successfully eliminated coal and gas outburst disasters in Dengfeng coalfield by mining a protective coal seam and extracting gas. By mining a thin coal seam below the dangerous one and extracting gas from the floor, they increased permeability and reduced gas pressure, making mining safer and more efficient.
