Historic buildings are important for cities, but need to be renovated properly for sustainable development. The Wuhan Art Museum renovation project studied how to protect and renew historic buildings by considering their history, design, and function. By analyzing real cases, the study found key ways to reuse old buildings in line with China's needs. The main goal was to provide a useful guide for similar projects. The key to success is giving old buildings new uses that fit modern life.
