New herbicides boost chickpea yield and profits while reducing weeds.
A study was done to see how different herbicides affect chickpea growth. They tested 13 treatments on the plants and found that weed-free plots had the highest yield. Treatments with topramezone herbicide also did well. These plots had fewer weeds and gave good profits. Overall, using topramezone herbicide at 25 g a.i. ha-1 was the most effective in terms of yield and economic returns.
