Integrated nutrient management boosts barley yield for sustainable agriculture in Punjab.
A study was done to see how different ways of feeding barley plants affect their growth and yield. They tried using a mix of natural and artificial nutrients. The results showed that a mix of 50% artificial and 50% natural nutrients gave the best results for barley weight, spike length, and number of grains. Another mix of 75% artificial and 25% natural nutrients made the plants grow the tallest. A mix of 25% artificial and 75% natural nutrients had the highest Harvest Index. A mix of 50% artificial, 25% natural, and 25% natural compost gave the most plant weight. The mix with 100% artificial nutrients had the most nitrogen and protein in the grains. A mix of 75% artificial and 25% natural compost gave the highest grain and straw yield. Mixing natural and artificial nutrients helps barley plants grow better and produce more.
