A study was done to see how giving pigeonpea plants certain nutrients through their leaves affects their growth and yield. They found that using a specific combination of nutrients and foliar sprays at certain stages of the plant's growth led to higher pod and grain production, resulting in better overall yield and profits. This shows that providing the right nutrients at the right time can significantly improve the productivity of pigeonpea plants in rainfed conditions.
