Internal clock speed influences decision-making on short-term rewards, study finds.
The study looked at how people's sense of time affects their decisions about waiting for rewards. College students did tasks involving timing and choosing between immediate and delayed rewards. The researchers thought that differences in how fast people perceive time would impact choices for short delays but not long ones. They found that individual differences in internal clock speed might explain some differences in choices across timeframes, but overall, changes in time perception didn't have a big impact on decisions about waiting for rewards.
