Land registration and certification in Ethiopia have impacted rural households differently. Various governments have had different policies regarding land ownership and sales. While some believe that land titling can lead to conflicts, others argue that low productivity is due to government control of land. To achieve better outcomes, it is important to involve stakeholders in designing land policies that consider social, cultural, and historical contexts.
