Water quality in Cidurian watershed threatens ecosystem health and sustainability
Water quality in Cidurian watershed was studied to see how it changes in rainy and dry seasons. Data from 2018 and 2019 showed high levels of total suspended solids in the rainy season, which could harm the river. Soil conservation practices are needed to reduce soil erosion. Downstream areas had pH, dissolved oxygen, chemical oxygen demand, and biochemical oxygen demand levels above safe limits. Government policies are needed to protect water quality. This information can help manage the watershed better for sustainable water resources.
