Rivers are vital for human life, but pollution is a major problem worldwide. The Gomti River in Lucknow, India, is heavily polluted with industrial, domestic, and agricultural waste. A study analyzed water quality at three sites along the riverfront. Results showed high levels of pollutants like heavy metals, pesticides, and sewage, making the water unsafe for various uses. Pollution from drainage systems and runoff has significantly degraded the Gomti River's water quality.
