GIS technology links ecological data for better land management in Ukraine
GIS technologies were used to connect different administration systems in Ukraine, such as land, natural resources, and environmental cadastres. The researchers focused on a natural reserve fund in Kharkiv region that was not properly recorded in the state cadastral system. By conducting a geodetic survey and creating a digital map, they successfully integrated information about the reserve into the land cadastre system. This study demonstrates the importance of consistency in inventory systems for managing ecological objects effectively.
