The study looked at how economic sanctions can disrupt the drug supply chain in Iran, leading to shortages and dissatisfaction among the people. The researchers found that continuing sanctions could strengthen domestic drug production but may result in a crisis due to reduced imports and lack of technology for a specific drug. To improve the situation, the government implemented four supportive policies to reduce drug prices, increase satisfaction levels, decrease supply chain disruptions, and boost overall profits. The data analysis showed positive outcomes in terms of drug affordability, public satisfaction, supply chain profitability, and overall drug distribution.
