High nitrogen levels and weed management boost sesame yield in Gujarat.
A study was conducted to see how different levels of nitrogen and weed management methods affect the growth and yield of sesame plants. The researchers found that using 75 kg of nitrogen per hectare led to the highest plant growth and seed yield. Among the weed management practices tested, keeping the plants weed-free resulted in the highest seed yield. This means that applying the right amount of nitrogen and keeping the plants free from weeds can help increase sesame crop yield.
