Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) plays a crucial role in Malaysia's economic growth. A study looked at factors influencing FDI decisions in Malaysia from 1987 to 2016. They found that a higher GDP and lower inflation rate positively impact FDI. When the Malaysian Ringgit weakens against other currencies, FDI decreases. However, trade openness did not show a significant relationship with FDI decisions.
