New statistic for comparing predictive values improves accuracy and reliability.
The article corrects and compares a statistical method for comparing two predictive values. The corrected version of Bennett's goodness-of-fit statistic is shown to be equivalent to a recent method proposed by Wang. A simulation study confirms that the corrected statistic performs well in practice. In conclusion, the corrected Bennett's goodness-of-fit statistic is a strong tool for testing the equality of two predictive values.
