New Mansoura City Coastline Expanding, Erosion Areas Need Protection!
The study looked at how the shoreline of New Mansoura City changed between 1984 and 2018. They used GIS technology and satellite data to see how the coast changed over time. The results showed that the city's coast mostly grew by 2.34 square kilometers, with only 0.195 square kilometers eroding. On average, the shoreline grew by 3.12 meters per year, while erosion happened at a rate of -1.23 meters per year. This means that the shoreline in New Mansoura City is mostly growing, with only small areas eroding.
