Researchers simulated the process of turning food waste into biogas using a computer program called Aspen Plus. They tested different levels of fat in the waste and found that higher fat content led to more methane in the biogas. By increasing the amount of waste processed each day, they were able to produce even more methane. This study provides valuable information for future projects aiming to create biogas from food waste on a larger scale.
