New method ranks efficient two-stage decision-making units with precision.
The article discusses a new method for ranking efficient two-stage decision-making units (DMUs) in network data envelopment analysis (DEA). The researchers found that existing methods had limitations like complexity and inaccuracies in ranking. To address these issues, they developed a method that focuses on ranking the most efficient two-stage DMUs with a series structure. By removing the most efficient DMUs from consideration and using the Euclidean norm, they were able to rank the remaining DMUs accurately. The method was tested with numerical and empirical examples to demonstrate its effectiveness.
