Regional land use management policies in Zambia can help reduce deforestation by considering different factors at the household level. The study found that crop productivity can have both positive and negative effects on deforestation, while higher non-farm income is linked to lower deforestation. This suggests that specific land use and forest policies tailored to different regions are more effective in addressing deforestation compared to current international and national policies.
