Inadequate Credit Facilities and Infrastructure Hinder Small Farmers' Success in Nigeria.
Small scale farmers in rural areas face challenges in marketing their agricultural produce. The main problems include lack of credit facilities, transportation issues, and inadequate market infrastructure. Farmers also lack important marketing information such as sources of credit, storage, packaging, and market trends. To help farmers, governments should provide clear marketing guidelines, offer crop insurance for minimum returns, and improve infrastructure like roads and electricity in rural areas.
